Overview
Waiheke Documents and Security also known as WDS provides security for property & events, alarm systems and 24/7 monitoring and sensitive document destruction.
They have been providing Security & Document services to our local community for more than 20 years.
WDS is run by Tim and Justin a Father and son team.
Manager and owner is Justin he has lived on the island for over 30 years and is very well known and respected on the island. Justin has over twelve years of local security and document serving (Process Serving) experience. In 2008 Justin turned a night job as a doorman into a business that now employs security guards throughout the Island. In 2017 Justin was awarded the Security Operations Manager of the year award for the New Zealand Security Industry and in 2018 Justin was a finalist for the New Zealand Visionary Leadership Award.
His Management administrator is Gina she has lived on the island for over 30 years and is very well known and respected on the island. Gina Joined WDS Management Team in April 2021 to help with a variety of roles, her main focus is Administration and Accounts. Before joining the management team she was part of the WDS Team since early 2017 she has worked as a Frontline Guard, Patrol Officer, and Team Leader.
They currently employ 20 staff and for larger event inquiries WDS can call upon many more security officers. All WDS Security Officers have completed NZQA Certificate in Security Levels 2 & 3. They hold Workplace First Aid certificates and hold mandatory CoA’s. Police vetted, promoting workplace Health & Safety.

- Event Security – WDS guards are well-trained and have vast experience in event security, They have looked after most events held on waiheke since 2010.

- Mobile Patrol – WDS security mobile patrol team is available 24/7. They prevent and deter theft and vandalism by creating a highly visible security presence and awareness. Mobile patrols are extremely beneficial and useful for commercial, industrial, retail, construction, and residential sites. WDS also offers services to clients who are going on holiday, undergoing renovations, or selling their homes.
