Overview

Fossil Bay is a Steiner Kindergarten & School on Waiheke Island. Their vision is to offer holistic education that nourishes children. Enriches the community and inspires innovative learning and creativity.

Fossil Bay Kindergarten was established on Waiheke in 1993.

They believe children do best in the early years without technology and that children thrive when given lots of opportunities to experience movement, arts, creativity and the natural world around them.  The skills of creative thinking, collaboration and problem-solving are given more importance than memorising information.

They teach in small classes, ensuring the needs of each individual student can be met.

They have 3 different offerings available for babies and mothers (from in the belly, to walking!). All of these take place at the Fossil Bay Yurt.

Also offering Kindergarten for 2 year old’s.

Kids have access to the local beaches like Fossil Bay, you can find a range of small fossils in the cliffside.
