Onetangi Sports Park
Onetangi Sports Park is a huge park that is 1000s of acres, The park has a wide range of supported sports and amenities. Each key Sport will have its own page.
Park
Waiheke has many parks scattered all over the island. This can be walking orientated parks like Allison park. Sport parks like the Onetangi Sports Park or beach parks/playgrounds.
Many of these parks have amenities like BBQs, toilets, hand washing, dog water stations, open fields for community fun and nature walk ways.
Frisbee Golf Course
Frisbee Golf is similar to golf except it is cheaper to start playing. Its also fairly hard to lose a frisbee on grass. Onetangi Sports Park has a course of 18 Baskets.
Onetangi Tennis Courts
Onetangi Tennis Courts are free to use for the public and open 7am – 10pm, it features 4 tennis courts and some shade seating, this is a part of Onetangi Sports Park.
Pukeatua Reserve
Pukeatua Reserve is located at the top of Trig Hill Road, it is a perfect picnic spot with panoramic scenic views of Waiheke, Auckland Rangitoto and Motutapu island.
Tin Boat Reserve
Tin Boat Reserve also known as Tin boat playground is located in Onetangi, it is unique by having a large aluminum dinghy set in the middle of the playground.
Old Blackpool School
Old Blackpool School Hall and park has many aspects, we will cover most of them. It is a community building that has a good park for walking dogs.
