Beaches
Waiheke has a wide range of beaches, this includes sandy beaches such as Palm Beach, Oneroa and Onetangi. Shelly beaches such as Owhanake, Surfdale and Shelly beach. Plus a range of other hidden beaches/bays that show when the tide goes in and out 400m or rock covered beaches such as Rocky Bay and Hekerua.
Blackpool Beach
A south side beach on Waiheke found on The esplanade, the beach is best at high tide. This beach is popular for windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Shelly Beach
Shelly Beach is a south side beach on Waiheke, the beach is secluded and less populated than the northern beaches which makes this a nice spot for a quiet picnic.
Surfdale Beach
Surfdale beach is a south side beach on Waiheke, the beach is best at half tide or higher. The Beach is made from Shell/Sand and popular for high wind activities.
