Overview

Tūāpae is a family and Māori owned vineyard on Waiheke Island. Their focus is on ki uta ki tai (Mountains to the sea) as they care for the environment using only organic inputs.

proud owners are Vanessa and Luke.

They grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc, and produce Bordeaux style wine.

Note: Trig hill road is a very narrow road, be careful and fully focused when driving on the road. Watch for oncoming traffic.

The best way to access Tūāpae Vineyard would drive up Trig hill road at the end there is a cul-de-sac with a private driveway/road, Tūāpae Vineyard is located down the driveway about 400-500m.

Onetangi Beach – Waiheke’s longest beach being over 2kms of beautiful white sand it is certainly a must visit. It is popular for surfing, swimming and just relaxing.

Pukeatua Reserve – Located at the top of Trig Hill Road, it is a perfect picnic spot with panoramic scenic views of Waiheke, Auckland Rangitoto and Motutapu Island.
