Overview
Lauren Young Ceramics is a small ceramic art studio, were beautiful handmade tableware and display pieces are sculpted. They are made and created on Waiheke Island.
Owner and the talented ceramic artist that is behind these creations is Lauren, after working in corporate communications for many years. She decided a change of scenery was what she needed in her life and ceramic making was calling her name. She learnt how to make ceramics on anything you can do with clay wheel, slab and molds. While also learning many life skills patience being one of them, she also felt a lot of joy but also frustration as working with clay is not easy work and doesn’t always work out as planned.
Molding and hand making every creation means not every mold is the same they all have their own unique features.
All creations are heated and hardened in her kiln and available to be purchased on her website. She can also make personalised products made to order.
